Intelligent Minimalism from Prophyros - Qualia EP (Dubporn Records)

The Qualia EP from Porphyro was released in October 2011 on the back of Inanna’s ‘Touch Me’ EP. Porphyros style is minimal at heart but with a focus on varied big effect and layers. Finance takes a journey into classic house samples but also with a touch of Jungle flavour. Keeping it minimal, Prophyros has crafted an interesting intelligent piece with a nice warm bassline and airy layers. The next piece on the EP is ‘Never’.

Kicking off with light organ and light percussive clicks Porphyros beings in a wistful melody and happy Garage beat line. Keeping in line with the Porphyro flavour, ‘Never’ is true to the sounds with an organic but has a distinctive sunshine vibe.
