Buku - Dubstep Electro blend threatening to rip the floor
The US has really taken to the Dubstep sound, so sifting through new producers can often be a challenge. There’s so much out there that finding something that sticks out can be infuriating. Hailing from Pittsburgh in the United States Buku has glided steady under the radar, until he decided to shout out about reaching 1,000 Facebook fans, along with the tempting hook of free access to his music. It’s at this point that sub-bassmusic is guilty of taking the bait and never looking back.
Bukus style shows excellent promise, by choosing to mix up the beat lines on his Dubstep he has recently created a handful of tracks which are well worth getting stuck into. Expect barrels of energy, strong synth melodies and bold industrial Dubstep basslines. Below is a sample of his most recent pieces but there’s plenty more of this producers earlier tracks on soundcloud here – Tracks from Buku.
His most recent creation, ‘Say What Again’ is a fresh blend of Dubstep and Techno flavours, packed full of bouncing energy. With moments of calm and some energy injected builds, Buku sticks to the tried and tested dance floor track structure, creating a delicious piece.

For a dip into the more raw Dubstep sound of Buku, get your ears onto the below pieces. ‘Tony Parmesan’ is designed around a massive build and dancefloor ripping vibes. ‘Fault’ is an altogether murkier piece, the strong atmospheric parts are still present but Buku also demonstrates an ability to mix up the percussion, to nice effect.
