Nu:Logic have blended together a perfect little collection of rollers and shakers for Fabriclive. Starting off with some classy little liquid tracks from Technimatic and Four Tet, the boys throw in their own roller Brown Shoes. It’s from this mid-point that the listener is treated to a handful of special ingredients from the masters of their craft, Lynx and Joe Syntax. As Nu:logic takes the vibe deeper and darker the listener would be forgiven to think they’d stated listening to a different mix. The demonstration of atmosphere manipulation continues at an expert level, ending with a quick three piece medley of Nu:Logics own compositions.

The many shades of Bondax - XLR8R Podcast

Bondax teams up with the XLR8R podcast series to put together a sublime mix, chilled to the core and packed full of golden remixes. Kicking off with a sunny vibe, the easy funked up breaks of Kartell "Cost of Love and the lush layers of Bonobo "Ten Tigers" set the scene nicely. This is followed closely with a couple of fresh remixes off Blackstreet "No Diggity” and Justin Timberlake’s "Suit and Tie”.

The funk continues to escalate with FKJ’s blissful "So Much to Me". Form this point (15 mins) Bondax moves into the second part of the mix, a funk laiden house journey which doesn’t fail to disappoint. At 23 mins Bondax transfers into the Moon Boots remix of Gold before dropping a deep down remix of Modjo’s, Lady from Kaytranada.

As the drive continues to raise Bondax switches the vibe again in favour of the Garage sound, hearts will be melted! Bondax halts the interude into the garage sound at 40 mins with Maribou States take on Fatboy Slims, “Praise You”. Bondax delivers!

Flight Facilities reviews the decade with an Unmissable House soundscape - 2002 to 2012

The ‘final’ installment of the Flight Facilities decade mixcast series has landed, well at least for another 9 years. 2002 to 2012 takes on the period from a 140 bpm House music perspective. As with the other decade mixes the soundscape is sprinkled with speech clips from the decade, charting a journey through History and sound. Looking for a quick switching journey into the spectrums of DnB? Look no further than this eccentric rampage through the varied DnB soundscape, brought to SBM by the Data Transmission podcast series and mixed by producer/mixologist Kove.

DJ Kove is a clearly a man with a short attention span as tracks seem to come thick and fast but it only takes a few mins to grasp the character of the mix and roll with it to the end. Kove has done a great job on this to ensure that styles and soundscape undulate perfectly, creating one hell of a journey.

Bathe in the Deep Dubstep sound of Kito and lose yourself in the vocals of Reija

Kito has sliced up herself a small portion of the Dubstep pie for about 3 years now. From the time her sound hit the ears of one of Dubsteps seniors, Skream, through to the recognition from Mary Anne Hobbs, Kito has been drip feeding the scene some of its most intelligent floor rockers.

It was the epic remix of Spors ‘Pacifica’ that brought the deep, polished sounds of Kito to my ears, instantly requiring a feature on a recent sub frequency shouts - here > Kito. As a result it came to the delight of my ears that she has posted up six of her mixes, for download, representing her style from 2009 to present. Get your ears in on this one; this lady of Dubstep and the entrancing vocals of Reija deserve more recognition.

Tribute to DJ Mehdi - Mad Decent

The primary reason for setting up this blog, was that, admittedly I know very little about the vast scope and depth of Electronic and Bass music. Today I was proved correct once again and that there is still much more for me to find and discover. To be alerted of a DJ's death through so many channels instantly focused my attention. So is birthed this blog, written as Tribute to Head Bangers, DJ Medhi.

One part of super group ‘Club 75’, DJ Medhi blends a powerful mix of House and Electro on this Mad Decent Block Party mix from 30th July 2011. My first taste of such a well-crafted mix, picking up so many styles from the genre has left me thirsting for more – 24 mins is a moment of greatness. Anyone out there with more from the man himself please add comments.
